The following worksample was developed by George, aged 8 in term two, 2003.

His year three project outline was as follows:
You have 3 weeks to complete this project. This project must not be presented in a project book because your work should be displayed for all to see in the classroom. The presentation of this project is up to your imagination and creativity. As long as you present your research in a way that can be displayed for others in the classroom, the options are boundless.

Begin your research on a significant person from the days of Early European Settlement in Australia.

Include:
- A title, which includes your person's name in full;
- A picture of your significant person;
- Biographical information including details about date of birth, place of birth, family and education;
- Details about the year of their arrival in Australia and the name of the ship they arrived on if possible;
- What did this person do to help the colony or how did they help their people?;
- Why was this person significant?;
- Other interesting information that you may come across;
- A bibliography at the end, which states the books, videos or websites that you used to collect your information.

This was George's first attempt at creating a webpage, which he did using Microsoft FrontPage. He was given very little technical support other than shown how to create a new page, make hyperlinks, insert tables, text and graphics.
