• Assist in the educational placement of children and young people in substitute care who have high support needs in educational settings.
• Facilitate and provide appropriate support to schools in enrolling eligible students.
• Assist with the development and implementation of Individual Educational Programs (IEP) for eligible students.
• Make recommendations to Senior Education Officer (Community Care Programs) about supplementary resource allocations needed to implement the IEP for eligible students.
• Maintain appropriate documentation regarding the support provided to eligible students, as well as their current status and progress.
• Monitor the placement of eligible students ion the district.
• Liaise with other Department of Education and Training personnel, Department of Community Services personnel, non-government organisations and others as required to facilitate the enrolment of eligible students.
